Inspiring Green Communities - Half Day
To improve participants skills and knowledge about ways to incorporate topics surrounding sustainability and the environment into their community engagement role.
By the end of the session, participants will have an understanding of
- the connections between social and environmental issues
- benefits of a values based and co-production approach to community development work
- the importance of building environmental considerations into your community work and practical examples of ways to do this.
- why it is important to communicate with communities about the connections between social and environmental issues - ‘what’s good for the environment is good for us’.
Who is it for?
Individuals from the voluntary and community sector, local authorities and other public institutions. The training is aimed at those who are already well versed in community engagement but feel there is the potential for them to improve their skills and knowledge about ways to incorporate topics surrounding sustainability and the environment into their role.
